Your Calorie BudgetBy Bill Vlass As much as people like to look down on calorie counting I have found it very helpful. As a matter of fact I lost 110 lbs counting calories! I like to look at daily caloric intake like working with a financial budget. Its simple - You have a certain number of calories that you can eat in a given day. You have a calorie budget so to speak. When embarking on any weight loss program you will be aware of your caloric intake and adjust that intake accordingly throughout the day so you dont go over your 'calorie budget.' The first step to take is to find out what you should weigh for your build and your height, the second step is to figure out how many calories you should be eating per day in order to reach that goal weight. I always make it a point to remind every reader that before beginning any weight loss or excercise program you should always consult with your physician first. Personally I dont think you can trust weight charts because you must take into account your build. You may have a larger frame or be somewhat muscular so the 'Correct weight' chart may be incorrect if you go by it when judging what you should weigh. I recommend going to your doctor and letting him or her judge what body type your are and then having him or her advise you on a proper method for weight loss. About the Author: Bill Vlass is not a doctor and does not even claim to be a weight loss expert. Bill at one point however lost 110lbs and he did it by using the methods he writes about in his articles.
